Lowry Middle captures third straight district title

Lowery Middle has only lost two games during their run of three straight district championships.

Winning a district championship is quite an accomplishment for any middle-school football program, but the Lowery Tigers have pulled it off three times in a row.

This season, Lowery became the first team to win three straight district titles since Galvez pulled off the feat back in 2008.

In the Tigers’ superb run of three consecutive championships, they have only lost a total of two games.

This tremendous accomplishment can be greatly contributed to the Lowery coaching staff, but their players have been the real stars—especially the eighth-graders on the squad. These young men dedicated much of their summers and afternoons to workouts for the sport they love.

While the Tigers will lose several of their starters to Donaldsonville High School next year, they have reignited the fire of tradition that will surely inspire future players.
