The Ascension All-Star 14U team won the 2015 district championship in Plaquemine on June 21.

The boys worked really hard, defeating Iberville on Thursday, June 17, with a final score of 14-12. They then came back on Friday, June 19, and defeated the Terrebonne team with a 10-2 victory.

Being undefeated led them to play a "if game" where if they won, they would have taken the championship that day. However, they fell a little short with Terrebonne taking a 10-2 victory on Saturday, June 20.

This led Ascension to play the "if game" against Terrebonne on Sunday, June 21, where Ascension pulled it off once again with an 8-7 win. The victory allowed them to take home the 2015 district championship.

It made a great start on Father's Day for all of the coaches and dads out there.

Players worked really hard and never gave up.  Terrebonne played an awesome game and gave Ascension a great fight.

The coaches and parents of Terrebonne should be proud as they took second in the district championship. Congratulations to Terrebonne's Trenton Holloway for receiving the Sportsmanship Award and Ascension's Layton Lee for receiving the MVP award.

The Ascension All Star 14U team will now get back to practice to get ready for the state tournament in Madisonville, starting July 9.
