Two winners crowned for Gonzales Coaches Pitch League

Waguespack Insurance scored five runs in the bottom of the third to overcome an early 4-1 deficit to defeat Ascension Specialty Advertising, 7-4.

Cade Delaune led off the bottom of the third with an infield single, Gavin Higgins followed it up with a triple, Noah Lewis, Zach Dotter and Braxton Billingsley all doubled and then, Kale Guitrau drove in the final run of the inning with a single to left to give Waguespack six straight hits to take the lead.

Athletic Center won the Gonzales Coaches Pitch American League Title. They defeated Livewire, 11-1, in the finals.

Athletic Center’s leading hitters were Easton Humphrey, Reid Mayers, John Brown, Quinten Elisar and Jett Lemoine.

The game was won because of great defense by Tommy Frazier, Dason Decoteau and Quinten Elisars as they made clutch plays and got big outs when they needed them. It was a team effort with all of the kids playing well.
