Ascension Ray squads shine at USSSA World Series

Ascension Rays Baseball is a non-profit youth baseball organization based in Gonzales. The organization consists of three teams that all compete at the highest (Major) level in USSSA tournament baseball.

The Rays recently completed their 2014 season by participating in the USSSA Global World Series in Orange Beach, Ala.

The Rays-Gray (12U) were the tournament champions in the White Bracket. The 10U Rays were the champion runners-up in the White Bracket, and the Rays-Blue (12U) finished third in the Red Bracket.

These remarkable accomplishments topped off an already outstanding regular season–-compiling a combined record of 93-47-8.

Along the way, the Rays organization captured eight tournament championships and six championship runner-ups.
