Nikki Caldwell Basketball Camps to begin on June 7

Celebrate LSU's 2013 Sweet 16 season as the dates for the "2013 Nikki Caldwell Basketball Camps" to be held at the LSU Basketball Practice Facility and Pete Maravich Assembly Center have been announced.

The types of camps and dates for the summer are: June 7-9 – Next Level Camp; June 17-20 – Day Camp; and June 21-23 – Team Camp.

Next Level Camp is for ages 12 to high school. The cost is $250 per overnight camper or $200 per commuting camper. Camp begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 7 and runs daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Next Level Camp concludes at noon on Sunday, June 9.

Day Camp is for ages six to 12 and is $250 per camper. It lasts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Each camper will receive daily on court instruction from Coach Caldwell, her staff and the Lady Tigers. Campers will also receive a basketball t-shirt, an individual picture with Caldwell and a camp pizza party.

Caldwell guided LSU to its first Sweet 16 appearance since 2008 in March 2013. Under her leadership, the Lady Tigers have produced a 45-23 overall record in two seasons, gotten the most production out of their players on the floor and been steadfast leaders in community service. In 2013, Louisiana native Theresa Plaisance was named a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection after leading the league in scoring.
