Baton Rouge Riverboat Bandits, a minor league football organization, host a combination of tryouts and practice for its 2015 season during the month of June at BREC Nairn Drive Park, located at 2800 Nairn Drive. Tryouts and practice are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m.

The league is looking for ex-high school and college football players that are interested in playing full-contact adult football for the 2015 football season. Players have to be at least 18 years of age. Coaching positions are also open.

"The Southern American Football League is about commitment, accomplishment and community," said Legal Commissioner, Joe Bean. "It fills a void that has claimed the lives of countless young men in this community.”

No registration fee is required. Expenses for travel and uniforms are incurred by the league through sponsorship. Anyone interested should call (504) 994-6655 or (225) 938-8183.
