Thunder team wins Gulf Coast Fall Classic tournament

The Gonzales Soccer Club 00B Thunder won the Gulf Coast Fall Classic tournament last weekend, going undefeated for the second time in as many tournaments.

The Thunder defeated the LA Fire 01 Boys Navy, 3-0, with goals from Cooper Adams. He was assisted by Ben Leboeuf. Logan St. Pierre assisted Adams, and Matt Parker was assisted by Henry Ecker.

The Thunder finished with a draw against host GCU 01 Boys Blue, 1-1. This allowed them to advance to the finals. Jackson Carter dished out an assist to Ross Denicola, and he scored a late goal to tie the contest and send the Thunder to the title game.

In the finals, they beat the SMSC Elite 01 Boys Mustangs, 2-0. Adams scored both goals, which were assisted by Carter Roussel and Jacob Chauvin.
