The Ascension Braves 12U baseball team took first place in the Robert Jambalaya Classic. They went 3-1 in the tournament.

In the semifinal game, they entered the bottom of the sixth down 5-2 and rallied to win 6-5 with Robbie Martin scoring the winning run on a Broc Becnel sacrifice fly. Lathan Bourgeois was the winning pitcher in the semifinal, and Martin was the winning pitcher for the championship game.

This is the third first-place finish for the 12U team. The boys also took first in the Tiger Town Showdown, which finished on pool play results due to rain cancellation.

The 12U team is currently 8-1 in their season.
