Former LSU All-America pitcher Anthony Ranaudo has been named to the United States squad for this week's Major League Baseball All-Star Futures Game.

The game's brightest prospects will show off their talents on Sunday, July 14 in the 15th annual All-Star Futures Game, with the U.S once again taking on the World.

The rosters for both teams were announced last week by Major League Baseball, with input from the MLB Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League clubs.

Ranaudo, who was a three-year letterman at LSU from 2008-2010, pitches for the Portland (Maine) Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Ranaudo, a right-hander, was selected in the supplemental first round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Red Sox.

In 2009, Ranaudo, a product of Jackson, N.J., was 12-3 with a 3.04 ERA (42 ER/124.1 IP) in 19 starts for the Tigers and earned the victory in the championship game of the '09 College World Series versus Texas.
