St. Amant gets 20th win

The St. Amant Lady Gators collected their 20th win yesterday evening as they disposed of Hahnville in straight sets at home. They won impressively by scores of: 25-12, 25-9 and 25-13.

Shayli Schutz and Brooke de Veer each had seven kills and two digs in the effort. While Toni Rodriguez led the game with 13 kills. She also had an ace, two digs and five blocks.

Hahnville's Rebecca Robert did her best to try to lead her team to a victory as she put together eight kills, five assists and a block. Erin Hargis also had a solid effort with five assists and seven digs.

The loss just piles on to an already tough season for Hahnville. They're just 1-4 in district play, and they've fallen to 13-17 overall.

As for St. Amant, they continue to roll. They are a perfect 5-0 in district play, and the win helped them improve to a stout 20-4 for the year.

Their next chance to keep the winning streak going will be a home match tomorrow evening at 4:30 against East St. John.
