St. Amant notches another victory

Head coach Allison Leake and her Lady Gators are now 19-4 overall.

The St. Amant Lady Gators improved to 19-4 on Friday evening as they defeated a game St. Joseph's Academy squad in straight sets.

St. Amant was thoroughly tested and taken to the limit, but they were able take the three sets by scores of: 25-23, 25-20 and 25-21.

Toni Rodriguez had a game-high 21 kills along with two assists, eight digs and two blocks.

Alaina Decoteau was responsible for a game-high 18 digs, and Kelly Young once again, led in assists with 30.

St. Joseph's got some impressive performances from their girls as well. Jacie McClure had 11 digs, Parker Harrell had 15 kills and Emma Hiller chalked up 17 assists.

The win improved St. Amant to 19-4 overall, and they still stand a perfect 4-0 in district play. With the victory, the Lady Gators handed St. Joseph's only their fourth loss of the year.

The Lady Gators will be back in action this evening at home against Hahnville.
