St. Amant blanks Covington

The St. Amant Lady Gator volleyball team improved their record to 8-2 last night with a 3-0 win against Covington. They won by scores of: 25-19, 25-19 and 25-21.
Brooke DeVeer led the way in kills with 15, and Toni Rodriguez wasn't too far behind with 11. Rodriguez also had two assists, five aces, 13 digs and three blocks.
Kelly Young had a huge game in the assist department, registering 36 of them. She also added three kills, two aces and five digs.
The Lady Gators will hit the court Saturday morning at 9 a.m. to face 4A's Assumption at home with hopes of improving their record to 9-2.
