St. Amant boys and girls earn track wins

Hosting the Duck Roast Relays, the St. Amant boys and girls both came away with big track wins last weekend.

In the boy's division, the Gators came away with a dominating victory with Central finishing in a distant second.

From the track, Jackson Hendrix had the best day for the Gators. He won the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.38 seconds, and he also won the 300 hurdles.

Denzil Felix had one of the better performances. He won the 100 with a time of 11.09 seconds and finished second in the 200 with a time of 23.7.

Steven Pirvu won the 400 with a time of 50.54 while his teammate Nathan Martinez finished second.

The Gator relay teams won the 4x400 and finished second in the 4x100.

From the field, Marques Hampton won the long-jump with a measurement of 22 feet and 1.05 inches while teammate Jonavon Lewis finished second.

Other St. Amant winners included Brennan Maggio for the pole vault, Dylan Stephens for the discus and Jordan Lomas for the shot put.

The Lady Gators secured an easy win as well.

From the track, Drenice Tillotson and Rikki Lambert each won two events. Trillotson won both the 100 and 200. Lambert won both the 100 and 300 hurdles.

Infiniti Dundy finished second to Tillotson in both the 100 and 200.

The relay teams ended the day with a first-place finish in the 4x400 and a second-place finish in the 4x100.

From the field, Alli Duplechein won the shot put with her teammate Raylyn Ashton finishing second. Duplechein also finished second in the discus as teammate Faith Bourgeois won the event.

Meanwhile, Toni Rodriguez won the javelin throw as she attained a measurement of 102 feet and three inches.

Maggie Duplechein had a consistent day. She won the long-jump, finished second in the triple-jump and third in the high-jump.
