Ascension track stars excell during the summer

Incoming East Ascension freshman Kaleb Chanet at the Junior Olympic Championships.

Many local track stars have recently made Nationals. East Ascension's Arianne Williams won the 400 at regionals with a time of 57:22 and participated in the intermediate girl's 400, 4 x100 and 4 x 400 relay.

St. Amant's Dreniece (Cocoa) Tillotson competed in the intermediate 4 x 100. Ascension Catholic's Maerys Joseph competed in the intermediate 800 and 4 x 400. Incoming East Ascension freshman Kaleb Chanet blazed a 10:20 in the youth 3,200 meter run and also participated in the 1,500 meter run.

Incoming Dutchtown freshman Dirk Glover participated in the shot put in the intermediate group. Donaldsonville's Ka'Lynn Jupiter placed sixth nationally in the 400 meter hurdles and seventh in the 100 meter hurdles. Kaleb Chanet at the Junior Olympic Championships.
