Ascension softball players to watch in 2018

With so many heralded players from last season returning in the parish in 2018, Ascension is bracing for another tremendous year in high-school softball.

Taylor Tidwell (St. Amant)

Taylor Tidwell is the highest-decorated of any returning Ascension player. She has started for St. Amant since her freshman season and is a three-time all-district selection and an LSU signee. In the Lady Gators’ run to the state tournament last year, she hit .393 with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs. She was all-district, All-Parish and All-State.
