St. Amant's Tidwell announces commitment

Another St. Amant athlete has college softball in her future.

Last Monday, St. Amant shortstop Taylor Tidwell announced on Twitter that she has verbally committed to LSU. Tidwell is only a sophomore.

She comes off of a huge freshman campaign where she helped lead the Lady Gators to an undefeated regular season and a trip to the state semifinals. In their quarterfinal game against Denham Springs, it was Tidwell that came through with a walk-off RBI-single.

She hit .440 with three home runs, 28 RBIs and nine stolen bases and was a first-team all-district selection in 2015.
