Ascension Catholic's Nacy Guillot was not only the lone Lady Bulldog to make All-State honors, she was the only Ascension player in all of 1A--softball or baseball--to earn such credentials.

Guillot was named a first-team selection from the outfield when the official 1A All-State teams were announced last week.

She certainly earned her spot on the squad as she bolstered a gaudy .602 batting average, collected 34 RBIs and scored 30 runs.

Guillot helped lead Ascension Catholic to a 20-6 regular-season record and second-place finish in the district.

On the strength of those numbers, they earned the No. 7 seeding in the state heading into the playoffs.

In the postseason, they were able to make a run to the State Softball Tournament in Sulphur before being upset by False River Academy in the quarterfinals.
