Ascension Athlete of the Week

This week’s Weekly Citizen Athlete of the Week, brought to you by Rouses Market, is senior goalkeeper Maggie Britton of East Ascension.

Britton started the week off by pitching a shutout against Hahnville on Tuesday.

On Friday night, she had an amazing performance in defeat. She held St. Amant to just one goal. The Lady Gators had been averaging three a game.

Plus, she made a sensational 15 saves. Many of those saves came on point-blank shots right in front of the goal.
