Ascension soccer saw tremendous success last season as six of the eight boy’s and girl’s teams made the playoffs. With so many standouts returning in 2016-17, the parish’s impressive run to the postseason may just repeat itself.

Adelaide Gaffney (St. Amant)

As a freshman, Adelaide Gaffney proved to be one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in parish soccer. In helping lead the Lady Gators to a second-place finish in the district and a trip to the second round of the playoffs, she scored 23 goals and dished out nine assists. She was named Offensive MVP for both the all-district and All-Metro teams.

Players already named:

Briggs Bourgeois (St. Amant)

Madyson Bleakley (Dutchtown)

Edgar Moyron (East Ascension)
