October might be long gone, but that didn't stop East Ascension High from celebrating breast cancer awareness last Tuesday night with their Kicking it for the Cure event.

The Spartan soccer teams played in a double-header with the girls donning the pink uniforms in the opening match. They were able to blank Sulphur 2-0. The win helped them improve to a solid 5-1-1 mark.

After the match, pink balloons were released in memory of those lost to the disease.

In the second match, the boys overpowered Ponchatoula and also pitched a shutout with a 7-0 victory to even up their overall record at 1-1.
