Five intriguing parish football games in 2015

The Oct. 9 matchup between Ascension Catholic and Ascension Christian is one of the five intriguing parish football games in 2015.

This will be both schools' only inter-parish matchup of 2015 and their first meeting in the new District 6-1A.

Both teams have playoff aspirations, and Ascension Christian will be in search of the most wins in their program's history.

The clash in Donaldsoniville will also be a meeting of the parish's two youngest head football coaches in the Bulldogs' Drey Trosclair and Lions' Josh Puryear.
