The excitement of National Signing Day once again came to Ascension parish as six Dutchtown Griffins officially signed their letters of intent today to continue their football and softball careers.

Headlining the class was safety Justin Reid, younger brother of Eric--a Pro Bowl safety for the 49ers.  Reid finally revealed at the signing ceremony that he will be headed to Stanford.

His counterpart at safety, Alonzo Craighton, officially signed with the Minnesota Golden Gophers after committing during the season.

Offensive lineman Hunter Austin then signed with Nicholls State after committing to the Colonels at the end of the season.

Wide receiver Johnathon Hodoh signed with UL-Monroe after committing there just recently.

In addition to the football team, two softball players signed their letters of intent in Bria White and Hope Vezinat.  White signed with East Central Community College, and Vezinat signed with LSU-Eunice.
