It wasn't just a great year for Ascension players when it came to the all-district team, it was a great day for them last Sunday for the U.S. Army Red Stick Bowl as well.

Nine of Ascension's football standouts played in the game at Olympia Stadium. Unfortunately, their Black Knight squad lost to the Rough Riders, 35-23.

East Ascension tight end and Air Force commit Kade Waguespack had the biggest game of the parish products. He was named his team's most outstanding interior player on the strength of a 58-yard touchdown catch.
