South Louisiana is known for all things from great Cajun cuisine to music to Mardi Gras. This fall, Cox4 and Cox Sports Television will showcase another great product of the state: high school football.

Cox4 and CST will broadcast 31 regular-season prep football games live every Friday night--including four games that feature Ascension parish teams.

“We are very excited to be in our 13th season covering some of the finest high school programs in the country,” stated Jason Furrate, director of Programming and Production for Cox4. “This season features what may be our strongest lineup ever, and we are extremely proud to be partnering with CST and also Charter Communications to cover such a large part of Louisiana with our coverage.”

Cox 4 broadcasts three games most Friday nights, with an occasional dual-market game. CST will simulcast one of the games, and Charter Communications will simulcast a different game--maximizing the reach beyond the Cox footprint in Louisiana.

They will broadcast Ascension teams on: Sept. 19 - Dutchtown at Destrehan, Oct. 10 - East Ascension at McKinley, Oct. 24 - St. Amant at Woodlawn and Nov. 7 - East Ascension at Catholic of Baton Rouge.
