It was a special night for Ascension Christian star Jamilyn Robinson on Friday.

Not only did the Lady Lions cruise past St. John to capture a share of the District 6-1A title, but Robinson was honored for both being a senior and for scoring her 2,000th point.

She has had quite a memorable career at Ascension Christian. She has started since she was in the eighth grade and has led her team to multiple playoff appearances.

Last year, she helped the Lady Lions win their first ever postseason game as they made a run to the state quarterfinals. Ascension Christian finished the 2017-18 regular season with a 15-8 record.

They are the No. 8 seed in the Division-IV playoffs. They will enjoy a first-round bye, before hosting No. 9 Central Catholic next week.
