It should be another exciting year in Ascension high school basketball. The jamborees tip off this week, and the regular season begins next week.

Many terrific parish players return in 2016-17. Here are 10 boy’s and girl’s players to watch this season:

Jamilyn Robinson (Ascension Christian)

Jamilyn Robinson has been starting for Ascension Christian since she was in eighth grade. In last year’s sophomore campaign, she averaged 28 points per game on her way to being named first-team All-Parish and District 6-1A MVP. In the offseason, she became the first ever Ascension high-school basketball player to compete for a spot on the USA 17U girl’s team.

Players already named:

Le’Aaron Cain (East Ascension)

Kameron Kelson (St. Amant)
