Parish baseball players to watch in 2018

Last season was a good one for Ascension Parish baseball as all six high-schools finished the regular season at .500 or better, and five teams made the playoffs. With many top stars returning this year, it just might be much of the same.

Preston Thrash (East Ascension)

New head coach Kade Keowen will rely heavily on Preston Thrash to supply East Ascension with timely hitting. The majority of the Spartans’ 2017 starting lineup is gone, but Thrash returns as a second-team All-District 5-5A infielder.
