Parish baseball players to watch in 2018

Last season was a good one for Ascension Parish baseball as all six high-schools finished the regular season at .500 or better, and five teams made the playoffs. With many top stars returning this year, it just might be much of the same.

Nic Montalbano (Ascension Christian)

As a sophomore, Nic Montalbano emerged as the ace of Ascension Christian’s pitching staff as he went 8-3 with a superb ERA of 1.96. In being named first-team all-district and second-team All-Parish, he also led the Lions to their first ever playoff victory.
