Dutchtown baseball standout Austin Bain recently signed his letters of intent alongside his family to stay close to home and play for the LSU Tigers.

Bain had a big senior year with the Griffins as he batted .420, belted out 12 doubles and accounted for 36 RBIs as Dutchtown made a run to the playoffs. He was named first-team All-District 5-5A and first-team All-Metro as a utility player.

During the summer, he was also on the Gauthier and Amedee team that made it to the American Legion World Series.
