The parish's bowling teams stepped into district action last week. Both St. Amant and Dutchtown came away with victories.

The Gators took on Woodlawn and rolled up an easy 24-3 win.

Prentiss Stanley had the match's highest series as he compiled a score of 576.

Stanley also had the match's highest individual score as he put together a 237 effort. Teammate Blaycen Breaux had St. Amant's second-highest score with a 193.

Woodlawn's Nicole Androf had their highest mark at just 186. Christen Hanna was next in line with a 158.

The easy victory improved St. Amant's record to 8-1 while Woodlawn dropped their ninth match of the season. They're still searching for their first win.

Also in the parish, Dutchtown competed with a district foe in Catholic. The Griffins came through with yet another victory by a score of 18-9.

The Bears' Austin Bertrand actually had the high series with a score of 605. Dutchtown's Trey Kauffman was just behind with 595.

Kauffman also had the Griffins' high score for an individual game with a score of 214. Once again, Bertrand had the match's high game with 224.

However, Chad Conard's score of 205 was higher than that of any other Catholic player. Conard rolled a 205 while the Bears' Josh Cayer and Daniel Heltz scored 193 and 192, respectively.

The victory pushed Dutchtown to an undefeated 9-0 record. The loss dropped Catholic below .500 at 4-5.
