Dutchtown and St. Amant bowling teams earn victories

The bowling season is off and rolling, and all three of the parish's teams were in action last week.
Dutchtown came out with an easy win over Woodlawn. They beat the Panthers by a score of 27-10.
Trey Kauffman and Averi Laughlin had the high series for the Griffins. Kauffman finished with a score of 623, and Laughlin finished with 634.
Those two bowlers also finished with two of Dutchtown's high games. Laughlin finished with a score of 288, Kauffman with 221 and Chad Conard had a high game of 205.
The solid performance boosted the Griffins to a perfect 8-0.
As for the two other parish teams, they battled each other.
St. Amant came away with the victory as they rolled past East Ascension, 22-5.
The Gators' high series came from Jack Douglas as he finished with a 573. East Ascension's high series was headed by Dillan Moran with a 209.
Douglas had a high game of 204 for St. Amant, and Prentiss Stanley was close behind with 200. Moran had a high game of 209 for the Spartans, and Donnie LaCombe finished with a score of 189.
The victory improved St. Amant to 6-1 while it dropped East Ascension to just 3-5.
