East Ascension falls to Haughton

HAUGHTON – East Ascension gave a valiant effort as the underdog in the bidistrict round of the state Class 5A playoffs against Haughton Friday.

The Spartans’ 25-21 loss marked the end of an improved season under first-year head coach Paul Bourgeois. East Ascension, seeded No. 21 in the postseason, finished with a 7-4 record.
