Donaldsonville falls to St. Charles Catholic

LAPLACE?– Donaldsonville kicked off District 7-3A play with a 49-8 setback to St. Charles Catholic.

The two teams combined for 770 yards, but Donaldsonville was able to muster just one touchdown.

Lazedrick Thompson scored four times for St. Charles. He finished with 163 yards on 16 attempts. Thompson led St. Charles’ 298-yard rushing effort.

Donaldsonville quarterback Devon Breaux scored his team’s lone touchdown. Breaux accounted for 84 rushing yards on 18 carries. He scored on an 11-yard run in the second quarter.
