Dutchtown rolls to 48-14 win over St. Amant in District 5-5A clash

ST. AMANT – Dutchtown overcame a spirited St. Amant team by mounting a commanding lead late in the third quarter Friday night.

Ranked No. 2 in Class 5A, the Griffins cruised to a 48-14 victory in the District 5-5A opener at The Pit.

Dutchtown (6-0, 1-0) scored 21 points off of five turnovers and compiled 452 total yards (384 rushing).

Griffins star Landon Collins reached the 100-yard mark for the fifth consecutive game, as he ran 12 times for 156 yards. He scored on carries of 31 and 88 yards.
