LSU, Oregon kick off tonight

LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee has battled Jordan Jefferson for the Tigers’ starting signal caller spot.

It's gameday for No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 LSU.

The Tigers and Ducks will meet in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas for a 7 p.m. kickoff in front of a national television audience on ABC.

LSU and Oregon will become the first top-five teams to square off at a neutral site during the first week of a season since 1984.

The Tigers enter the game without three starters - quarterback Jordan Jefferson, wide reciever Russell Shepard and left guard Josh Dworaczyk. Jefferson is currently suspended indefinitely; Shepard is in the process of going through the re-instatement process after being ruled ineligible; and Dworaczyk is likely out for the season with a knee injury.
