Dutchtown High's Darrien Batiste has committed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Dutchtown High defensive lineman Darrien Batiste recently committed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The 6-foot-2, 242-pound incoming senior returns at defensive end for the Griffins.

Batiste, who carries a 3.5 GPA, will join former Dutchtown teammate Effrem Reed, a running back who signed with the Cajuns in February.
