A car wash Saturday raised funds for Ascension Christian.

Ascension Christian High held a car wash fundraiser Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Faith Academy’s Household of Faith campus, at 14069 Airline Hwy., Gonzales.

The event raised funds for Ascension Christian’s athletic programs.

The more cars washed, the more money was made.

The athletes received their donations per car prior to the car wash event.

Despite the typical July heat, several students braved the temperatures and went to work in an assembly line fashion.

The youth group washed, rinsed and dried every vehicle that passed through the line.

Volunteers also sold food and drinks during the car wash event.

The sales were another way the school’s athletic programs benefitted from the efforts.
