Applications are now being taken for the LSU softball coach's clinic scheduled for Sept. 22 at Tiger Park. The clinic is open to any and all softball coaches.

Cost of the clinic is $75 and includes a three-hour lecture, lunch, pitching workout, team practice and a post-practice question and answer session. During the practice time, participants also will be free to move about, listen and ask as many questions of the coaching staff.

More information can be found on www.lsusports.net/camps or by contacting assistant coach Lindsay Leftwich at lleftwich@lsu.edu.

LSU finished its inaugural season under head coach Beth Torina with a 40-25 record and made the program's third appearance at the Women's College World Series. It marked the 14th time in 16 seasons that the Tigers finished with at least 40 victories since softball was reinstated in 1997.

LSU is slated to return 14 letterwinners for the 2013 campaign sparked by NFCA First-Team All-America Rachele Fico along with All-SEC Freshman pick A.J. Andrews.
