LSU football schedule update: TV, kickoff time announced for Auburn matchup on Oct. 1
LSU football will face Auburn on ESPN at 6 p.m. CT in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Oct. 1, the SEC announced on Monday.
LSU lost to Auburn in Baton Rouge last season, 24-19.
LSU (2-1, 1-0 SEC) faces New Mexico at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Tiger Stadium on ESPN+. The Tigers defeated Mississippi State over the weekend, 31-16, in its conference opener.
The Tigers trailed 13-0 in the first half against the Bulldogs but went on a 31-3 run to win the game. A muffed punt from Mississippi State wide receiver Austin Williams gave LSU the ball inside the Bulldogs' 10-yard line late in the third quarter. LSU, trailing 16-10, then scored a touchdown to take the lead and never looked back.
In its Week 2 win against Southern, LSU took a 37-0 lead in the first quarter. It was the most points the Tigers have scored in a first quarter in program history.
Auburn (2-1) was blown out at home by Penn State on Saturday, 41-12.
