The LSU and Kansas State football teams made the trip to Houston, Texas, for the 2022 Texas Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 4. 

Kansas State comes into the game 7-5 overall. On Nov. 26, Texas beat K-State 22-17. 

LSU enters the matchup 6-6 overall. Most recently, LSU beat Texas A&M 27-24 on Nov. 27. 

Entering the Texas Bowl, LSU leads the all-time series 1-0 vs. Kansas State. In their previous meeting, LSU defeated K-State 21-0 in their 1980 season opener.
