Kentucky Wildcats guard Sahvir Wheeler leaves with injury vs. LSU men's basketball

Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball guard Sahvir Wheeler left the game with an injury against LSU on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Wheeler came out of the game with 16:07 left in the first half.

He came out of the game after colliding into a screen at halfcourt set by LSU center Efton Reid III.

LSU led Kentucky 8-3 at the point Wheeler suffered the injury. Wheeler had one rebound and one assist in four minutes prior to coming out of the game.

Midway through the first half, ESPN's Karl Ravech said that Wheeler was "questionable to return."

Wheeler did not return to the game.

LSU defeated Kentucky 65-60.

LSU, ranked No. 21 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll, improved to 13-1 overall and 1-1 in the SEC. No. 13-ranked Kentucky went to 11-3 overall and 1-1 in the SEC.
