Ferguson named SEC Defensive Player of the Week

LSU's Ego Ferguson was honored as the Southeastern Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday morning by the league office.
Ferguson, a 6-foot-3, 309-pound defensive tackle from Miami, had a career-best eight tackles along with a sack and another assisted tackle for loss in the Tigers' 45-13 victory over Kent State.
LSU will play its third-straight home contest this Saturday when Auburn comes to Tiger Stadium for a 6:45 p.m. CT kickoff. The game will be televised by ESPN and broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network beginning at 4:45 p.m.
