After recording double-doubles in three of the first five games of the 2014-15 season, LSU’s Jordan Mickey was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Player of the Month for November after voting by an LSWA panel.

The sophomore from Dallas, Texas tallied 21 points and six rebounds in a season opening win over Gardner-Webb. The forward picked up a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds in an OT win over Texas Tech.

Mickey also had double-doubles against Weber State and Clemson.
