The LSU Athletics Department has announced that the LSU men's basketball team will play an exhibition game at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center at 7 p.m. on the night of November 5.

Admission for the contest will be free of charge.

The contest will take place just four days prior to the start of the 2012-13 regular season and the first for new head coach Johnny Jones on Nov. 9 against UC-Santa Barbara. The Gauchos advanced to post-season play a year ago.

In the exhibition game, LSU will play Arkansas-Monticello in the first exhibition game played in the Maravich Center since prior to the 2007-08 season.

Arkansas-Monticello and LSU met in a counting game in the 2006-07 season in a tournament in Las Vegas with LSU winning 75-48.

Tomorrow will also feature the "Pass A Good Time" night with the men's and women's basketball teams at the Maravich Center from 6-8 p.m.

The free event will feature fun activities for fans of all ages. The first 1,500 fans will receive a free LSU Stein mug and free food.

Season Tickets for the 2012-13 season are available online at and follow LSU Basketball on Facebook at and on Twitter @LSUBasketball.
