Nick Saban earns over $10 million on season after Alabama win, including several bonuses
To further solidify his top-dog status in the college football universe, Saban is also the highest-paid coach of 2020, according to USA TODAY's NCAA salaries database.
Adding Saban's salary and the bonuses earned from Alabama's presence in the SEC title game, New Year's Six bowl and CFP Championship, he is the first coach to earn $10 million in a season, according to the Action Network's Darren Rovell.
In his postgame interview following the Crimson Tide's 52-24 victory over Ohio State, Saban couldn't even process that he is now the college football coach with the most national titles in history.
"I’m just happy that we won tonight and I really haven’t thought about [winning seven national championship titles] because you’re always lookin’ forward," Saban said. "And I just love this team so much and what they’ve been able to do. I cant even put into words."
