Despite the ugly weather conditions of last Thursday, people still came to Gonzales in droves to see the 36th Annual Louisiana Sportsman Show and Festival at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center.

The large crowds continued to pour in during the weekend to enjoy the state's largest outdoor and boat show.

The event was sponsored by Essential Federal Credit Union and done in conjunction with the Louisiana Sportsman Show.

The many patrons that chose to attend the event were treated to acres and acres of boats, fishing and hunting equipment, ATVs, tractors and lawn equipment.

There was an indoor boat show that featured all major boat brands and dealers throughout the Baton Rouge area.

Along with the boats, the state's fishermen had a vast area of fishing tackle to choose from, and the hunters also had plenty of gear to explore.

There was the Louisiana Sportsman Big Buck Contest--which had a display of the largest bucks killed during the 2014-15 season in Louisiana, Mississippi and across the country.

For some hands-on fun, Cabela's supplied a 3D archery range, and the event also feature the Splash Dogs--where visitors had the chance to enter their dogs in retriever competitions.

Along with the many impressive ATVs being displayed, there was a Yamaha ATV test track set up.

There was also a bass tank where pros gave seminars to aspiring anglers.

On Sunday, there was the Kids Zone--which gave free admission to young ones attending the event.

The four-day show and festival truly featured a little bit of everything that the state's most passionate sportsmen could enjoy.
