Race for the Cure to be held on March 7
Susan G. Komen Baton Rouge Race for Cure® will be held Saturday, March 7, at the LSU Old Front Nine. Its the 19th race and highlights a survivor celebration starting at 8 a.m. Survivors, co-survivors and others in attendance will gather to celebrate life and encourage one another to continue the fight to end breast cancer.
Among the festivities is the fourth ExxonMobil. Race participants are invited to enjoy the delicious jambalaya prepared by local cooks and vote for this year’s “Fan Favorite Award” by contributing to their favorite jambalaya team. Official JFA judges will decide the winners in 30-gallon, JFA 10-gallon and Pastalaya categories.
Entry fee for the Jambalaya Village and competition is $30. Those interested in

The Race also provides a Tribute Tent sponsored by Green Oaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home, which allows participants a quiet space for reflection, remembrance and thanksgiving.

Those registering for the 10K may pick up their race packets at the LSU Old Front Nine on Friday, March 6, from 12-6 p.m. and on race day, starting at 6 a.m.
