Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, celebrates the growing number of women enjoying the outdoors with Ladies’ Day Out on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

This bi-annual event encourages women to become an outdoor enthusiast in style, focusing on the latest outdoor apparel, camping gear, personal fire arms and other supplies. It will feature hands-on demonstrations, seminars, live archery practice, giveaways and more – and the first 100 women to register at the store will receive a free special gift.

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, new target shooters–those who have taken up the sport in the last five years–are younger, female and urban when compared to established target shooters, or those participating for more than five years. This growing demographic will enjoy classes ranging from Selecting the Right Handgun to Non-Lethal Protection Options.

For those looking to expand their knowledge in other areas, ladies in attendance will have an opportunity to meet special guest speakers Kacey Bradley, Sarah Fromenthal and Kalley Leroy. These local experts will offer introductory seminars specifically designed for women on Duck Hunting, Archery and Fishing.

“Ladies Day Out celebrates our love of the outdoors and is intended to encourage more women to try something new in the outdoors," said Melanie Boone, Retail Marketing Manager.  “Cabela’s is proud to offer women not only the gear but also the expert knowledge to pursue their outdoor passions."

Customers that participate at Ladies’ Day Out by attending one of the seminars (regardless of gender) will receive a VIP Badge that will enable them to receive discounts throughout the store during the event.
