EATEL and ESPN have reached an agreement for carriage of the SEC Network when the highly anticipated network launches on Aug. 14. The network will be available to EATEL’s TV customers as part of its Basic Plus and HD Classic TV packages.

“The SEC Network has been one of our most requested channels to date, so we are glad to be able to provide our customers with the programming they have been asking for,” said Toby DuBois, EATEL’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We have been working for several months to get this deal done with ESPN so that our customers could enjoy the extensive coverage of the SEC before the kickoff of the 2014 football season.”

The SEC Network will air over 1,000 live events in its first year, including at least 45 live, exclusive SEC football games. Additional coverage will include men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball games, in addition to studio shows and original programming. The 24/7 network will be an all-access pass to the Southeastern Conference, featuring nationally-competitive events, news and information, expert analysis, classic games and in-depth features on the most storied conference in college athletics.
