Lady Tigers make surprise ticket deliveries

Members of the LSU women's basketball team, LSU cheerleaders and the Tiger Girls made surprise appearances around the city by delivering 2013-14 season tickets to their fans recently.

The team broke into groups and personally handed fans their season ticket orders. The visits concluded a busy day of public appearances for the Lady Tigers, who started off Sunday at the annual Halloween BOOzar for kids at the Maravich Center. The team joined other sports in handing out candy to kids who were dressed in their Halloween costumes.

In addition, head coach Nikki Caldwell joined men's basketball coach Johnny Jones on speaking engagements with several sorority and fraternities on Sunday night as the anticipation for an exciting season continues to build.

Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now at Season tickets start at just $50, while several mini-plan options are available. In addition, fans can purchase ticket books to the 2014 NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds that LSU will host on March 23 and 25.

The Lady Tigers were picked to finish third in the Southeastern Conference standings and have been ranked as high as No. 16 nationally in preseason magazines. Coming off its first NCAA Sweet 16 since 2008, LSU welcomes back three key seniors led by National Player of the Year candidate Theresa Plaisance. Caldwell's up-tempo style will be exciting to watch with the addition of three true freshmen, including Raigyne Moncrief.
